Lion Fred was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on August 12, 1942. He graduated from Princeton High School in 1960.
After High School Lion Fred attended Miami University graduating in 1964 with a BS in Education and certification as an Industrial Arts teacher. He obtained his Master of Arts Degree from Miami in 1967. Lion Fred taught for four years before taking his first administrative position as an Assistant Principal at Northeastern High School in Clark County.
When he retired he had 29 years experience as a High School administrator and 7 as a Superintendent.

Lion Fred met Lion Fran when they were in High School and married in 1963. They have two sons, Fritz and Mark and three granddaughters, Katie, Sarah, and Allie.
Lions Fred and Fran spend their time antiquing and working on crafts. Lion Fred builds stick and tissue scale model planes.

Lion Fred has been a member of the North Hampton Lions Club since 2000 and has been club president twice and served on the Board of Directors several terms. He was zone Chairman for Zone 9 and looks forward to serving the Lions of District 13 - E during the 2009 - 2010 Lions year.
